Headquartered in Purchase, NY, PepsiCo is a world leader in convenient foods and beverages, with revenues of about $27 billion and over 143,000 employees. When PepsiCo wanted to find an innovative way to recognize the achievements of some of these employees, they decided to utilize interactive kiosks to highlight the winners of internal PepsiCo awards.
And when PepsiCo went looking for kiosks, they chose MontegoNet because of our ability to provide a full-service solution, including kiosk hardware, application development, graphics design, onsite installation, content hosting, remote monitoring and more.
MontegoNet worked with PepsiCo to develop two award areas located in their main lobby, showcasing hundreds of current and past winners of two prestigious internal PepsiCo Awards, the Chairman's Award and the Ring of Honor. Each award area is focused around a MontegoNet kiosk, which in turn drives a number of external displays (3 for the Ring of Honor, 4 for the Chairman's Award), to create an impressive multimedia presentation.
For the kiosk content, MontegoNet created database-driven presentations that allow kiosk users to easily search for award winners based on the winner's name, division, geographical location, and year of award. Once a winner has been located, their photo and personal information are displayed onscreen. Simultaneously, the external displays present rotating photos and information about randomly-selected award winners. During this development process, MontegoNet worked closely with PepsiCo to ensure that all onscreen content is not only eye-catching, but also consistent with PepsiCo's corporate/brand identity.
Once installed, MontegoNet began to remotely monitor and manage the kiosks as part of our inReach service. With inReach, MontegoNet proactively monitors the health of the PepsiCo kiosks, manages their operation as well as their content, and collects usage statistics, so PepsiCo knows how many people use the kiosks. Overall, inReach allows PepsiCo to enjoy the benefits of a well managed kiosk network without having to pass on the responsibility to their IT staff.
The PepsiCo kiosk project exemplifies MontegoNet's expertise in providing our customers with full-service kiosk solutions tailored to their needs. Such an approach not only speeds and eases the development process, but it also helps ensure a high-quality kiosk project and reliable ongoing service.
"On time. On budget. Completely professional, completely accessible. That's our experience with MontegoNet."
Laura Griswold, PepsiCo.
