inReach
Benefit |
| Works
with common front-end kiosk software |
inReach's
platform-independent architecture allows it to easily
interface with popular kiosk interface software. |
Communications
(XML via SOAP)
|
inReach
communicates with kiosks via compressed & encrypted
data, which reduces bandwidth and increases security.
Furthermore, this method does not require customers
to open any ports on their firewall. inReach does not
"push" data to kiosks; kiosks "pull"
data from inReach servers. |
| Device
level monitoring |
While
it is important to keep your kiosks up & running,
it is just as crucial that kiosk peripherals are performing
properly. inReach includes advanced device level monitoring
& notification for issues such as paper levels (printer),
device jams (printer, cash/coin acceptor), excessive
temperatures (computer, printer), memory/hard drive
utilization (computer) and more. While competing remote
monitoring options provide software development tools
for creating your own peripheral monitoring programs,
inReach features built-in support for a number of common
kiosk devices (Swecoin, Practical Automation, JCM, MEI,
Hemisphere West, etc.), with new devices added frequently. |
| Works
through firewalls without any configuration |
inReach's
ability to communicate with kiosks through firewalls
means that customers can enjoy the benefits of remote
monitoring without compromising security or requiring
additional time & internal IT resources. |
| Tracks
and maintains session data |
Unlike
other remote monitoring services that only gather kiosk
usage data (e.g. total pages visited, forms printed,
etc.) inReach can differentiate session data. This provides
more detailed usage information, including actual length
of user sessions, what individual users did during their
session, etc. |
| Integrates with irBrowser-
full-screen browser front-end |
For
those customers who have complete control over their
online kiosk content and simply need a secure full-screen
browser for their interface, inReach provides a secure,
robust platform. Features include the ability to block
key combinations (e.g. CTRL+ALT+DEL) and access to operating
system functions. This secure interface also includes
a monitoring feature that will detect any application
anomalies and reboot the system in the event of application
failure. |

Alert
notifications sent via:
- E-mail
- SMS
text message
- Pager
|
inReach
automatically delivers important alerts via your preferred
method of communication, and more than one can be selected
to increase redundancy. inReach's multiple communication
options allow you to be notified instantly of any kiosk
issues. |
| Adjustable
poll settings |
inReach
provides customers with multiple polling options, for
maximum flexibility. Based on a customer's needs, inReach
can be configured to communicate with kiosks in real-time,
incremental (a timed poll event), or event-driven real
time modes. In other words, if a kiosk is configured
to communicate every 30 minutes, a real-time event such
a "low paper" will supercede the scheduled
communication and trigger an instant response. |
| Notifications
prioritized by level of severity |
Not
only can inReach notify you of kiosk issues, but it
can differentiate between high and low priority issues
and respond appropriately. For example, a "low
paper" notification can be sent via e-mail, with
a more critical "paper out" notification sent
to a pager. |
| Ability
to export to W3C log format |
inReach
allows you to take kiosk usage data and export it to
a variety of popular programs, such as WebTrends, for
easy and flexible analysis. |
| Platform
independent reporting |
inReach's
open standards ensure that you are not tied to a particular
platform or reporting plug-in, which eases future expansion
options. |
| Includes
embedded XP solution |
inReach
supports customers who currently enjoy the stability,
speed and low power requirements of embedded XP. (Coming
Soon) |
| Optimized
for Windows XP |
inReach
allows you to simultaneously take advantage of superior
remote monitoring and the benefits of Windows XP. |
